Ayant pris contact avec le président de teignmouth, voici les infos que j'ai:
Il y aurait possibilité d'hébergement dans un collège qui amènagerait les salles de classe en dortoir
Il y a des douches et des wc
Prix 3,5 euros par nuit

A votre place,j'irais faire un tour sur la liste des inscrits au mondial avant que la censure britonne ne débarque.... :-)

"The Holt Fireball World Championships to be held at Teignmouth between 13th and 19th August will reveal the best Fireball team in the World. However, this is certainly not just an event for the rock stars.

The results for the Worlds (and for the UK Nationals and Europeans the preceding week) will be split into Gold, Silver and Bronze Fleets which mean that everyone, whatever their level, will have something to race for.

If you wish to attend the prizegiving, it will be necessary for you to reserve on the ferry Saturday 20 August

A 6 mois du championnat, déjà 99 bateaux inscrits... Dont 72 GBR ! Et 8 FRA. 15 bateaux FRA au Mondial ce serait pas mal, non ? ;-)

"Holt Fireball World Championships look set to be the biggest class dinghy sailing event in 2005

With over 100 boats already signed up to take part from all over the world and some great sponsorship in place, the 2005 Holt Fireball Worlds is shaping up to be the event of the year. Support from the industry has been excellent, with Holt as title sponsor, Speed Sails as Silver Fleet sponsor and 13 top marine company’s supporting the newly built sponsored Fireball. (Proceeds from the sale of the boat have been put towards the worlds and UKFA funding) Other sponsors include Living Heritage who is supplying a 100’ x 50’ marqee to go on site at the Fireball village. Teignbridge Council are supporting the event too, with purpose built facilities.

Steve Chesney, Chairman of the Worlds organising committee said, “The Class is determined to make this event the greatest ever Fireball regatta. We will ensure that every competitor has a fantastic time, regardless of their success (or otherwise) on the water.”

At this weekends Dinghy show at Alexander Palace, the Fireball Association and worlds committee will thank their sponsors and finally part with the sponsored fireball. New owners, Matt and Marisa Butler are collecting their new boat on Sunday and they couldn’t be more excited. This will be the first time they have owned a new Winder Fireball and they think their sailing speed will improve dramatically. Matt and Marisa intend to compete in their new boat at open meetings and are planning to take part in the worlds too.

With the Worlds theme of fun and great sailing, each sponsor is going to be given a special worlds yo-yo. Every sailor taking part in the worlds will get a yo-yo too along with other goodies in their entrance packs. Holts are giving away goody bags to the winners but everyone who enters is in with a chance of a great prize through the Gold, Silver and Bronze fleet system at the worlds.

For anyone who would like to buy a special Worlds yo-yo, they will be available on the Fireball stand D2 for a small charge of £1.00

With so much interest in the championships, overseas sailors are hoping to charter boats instead of shipping them to the UK, which can be very costly. Clubs up and down the country have been alerted about need for Fireballs suitable to charter, but the Fireball Association say they are still short of boats.

Toi qui est au courant de tout, sais-tu comment s'organisent ceux qui sont pré-inscrits pour acheminer les bateaux et pour s'héberger sur place??

Alors les dernières nouvelles du front, direct from the Dinghy Show...
- 122 bateaux préinscrits 'so far', apparemment des équipages préinscrits n'apparaissent pas sur la liste du site ; les organisateurs espèrent vraiment passer la barre des 150...
- Malgré ce nombre assez énorme, les organisateurs n'envisagent pas de scinder la flotte en groupes de qualification puis en finales Or/Argent/Bronze, ou de faire des départs au lièvre (en même temps ça vaut mieux, j'ai cru comprendre après le dernier stage de Brest qu'en France on était pas super doués pour ça). 150 bateaux sur la même ligne, ça va donner !
- Je me suis avancé à donner entre 12 et 15 bateaux FRA, j'espère que je me serai pas trompé !!
- Apparemment (je me goure peut-être, je suis pas un full-time job de l'organisation) les Zangliches ils s'y prennent pas du tout de la même façon qu'en France pour organiser des régates : la classe a un comité d'organisation qui organise tout et qui 'loue' un club pour la régate, alors qu'en France les classes 'achètent' un championnat clés en mains à un club. Avantage du système anglais : les coureurs sont sûrs de ce qu'ils vont trouver, ça évite certaines déconvenues (style le Pyla). Par contre ça demande un gros investissement de la part des membres, et pas seulement ceux du bureau de la classe.

Désolé Jean-Yves, pour s'héberger sur place je sais pas trop comment faire. En ce qui nous concerne, c'est la Cantona Connection qui a géré l'histoire. A la demande de Philippe Barbier (tiens d'ailleurs il faut que je t'envoie le truc Philippe), j'ai trouvé des sites pas mal pour des cottages, mais ça coûte bonbon. J'ai pas trop regardé pour des campings, mais ça doit pouvoir se trouver. Tu tapes 'Camping Teignmouth' sur Google, et tu dois pouvoir trouver des trucs.
Pour l'acheminement des brouettes à partir de Roscoff, je crois que Pascal s'est rencardé; il doit y avoir un message là-dessus qui traîne quelque part sur le forum.

Pour l'hébergement voici une solution mise en place par l'organisation:

An update on our budget accommodation at the Fireball World Championships in Teignmouth.
I have reserved 2 spaces for you in one of the dormitories. These are classrooms in the local technical college and you will be sharing with fellow Fireball sailors from around the world (Czech Republic, Canada, South Africa and UK).
The rooms have carpets and camp beds will be provided by the British Army. You must bring your own sleeping bags and pillows. Toilets and showers are 75 metres away in the gymnasium area.
No food or drink is provided as the College will be closed for the summer holidays, however, the sailing club and regatta village is less than ten minutes walk away where such items will be available.
The cost will be £5 per person per night (£40 per person for 8 nights).

Sinon les hébergements sur place coûtent chérs (environ 20£ par jour et par personne en B&B car c'est trés touristique.
